Rose Royale
Bronx born, Rose Lipschitz, a simple girl with a dream started from nothing and brought it with her. Abandoned by her mother, the film star and sex symbol, Flawless Sabrina, she was brought up by her namesake great Auntie Rose C'est La Vie. It is said that Rose was such a pretty child that her mother could not bear being around her, and to this day makes her life a living hell. Years later when reunited with Flawless by chance at Jackie 60 there was an awful scene with feathers flying as Rose pleaded with Sabrina to reveal the identity of her recently deceased father. Pending lawsuits with publishers and insurance companies, in addition to sensitive police investigations, prevent further discussion.

As soon as she was old enough to get a drug connection, Rose ran away to live with bohemians, alcoholics and street people. She soon joined up with the then unknown group of radical thespians later named the Ridiculous Theatrical Company and borrowed her first corset from the legendary Mario Montez. Charles Ludlam who adored her, cast her as the Turtle Woman in Turds in Hell (1969) but as was her custom, Miss Royale was too bombed to perform. (The lovely Bunny Eisenhower went on to star in the role.)

Looking for a venue where no one knew her and cursing the theater, she took up her hand at sculpture. Much to everyone's amazement she won critical attention in Time Magazine (1971), was included in two Whitney Biannuals (1973 and 1975), was awarded the coveted Guggenheim Fellowship (1975), had numerous group and one woman shows all over the world and is represented in amongst others, the prestigious Phillip Johnson collection.

Having a reputation for wild fits of temper and disrespectful behavior, she was seen throwing drinks at important art world afficionados because they wouldn't fuck her. (Those who remember her from those days recall that there actually wasn't anyone left she hadn't fucked!) In a word Rose got in the front door and went to the basement again.

Then came the rehabs, locked hospital wards and clinics. Finally through her friend Jayne County she was introduced to the Jackie family (the only folks in town that would have her) and on the Jackie stage, which she now calls home, Rose was pushed on stage and ordered to dance for her dinner. "Legs", as the legend goes, pirouetted her way into everyone's heart. It took an Empress, Chi Chi Valenti to name her, tame her and train her. Although Miss Royale occasionally performs, Rosey is primarily acknowledged as a waitress who expresses herself through endless over-the-top outfits, inspired by the parameters set by Jackie 60 and Click and Drag themes.

Alternately spanking and pleasuring her customers as needed, "Legs" is known for her many passive aggressive kindnesses and mean spirited warmth.

She also peddles booze at many of the Mother/Jackie Factory offshoots: Queen Mother, Jackie's "Last Tuesdays" and Father Todd's Long Black Veil. In addition she works for promoters as varied as Abby E., Glorya Wholesome (Trannie Chaser) and Sweetie.

Miss Royale is currently working on a yet untitled documentary film about estrogen therapy in the transgender community.
